Concept drawings and Shop notes

Planning in order to create a piece that was not only orthogonal, but also both balanced and asymmetrical

 

Piece one

Including three different bodies, a dominant, submissive (made up of two thin planes), and subdominant. I utilized the bandsaw, chop saw and table saw to create all my bodies and used the drill to create the four holes in the submissive body.

Final composition 

The finished product is two separate orthogonal pieces that go together in any fashion to create a free flowing balanced yet asymmetrical piece.
